This whole week has been pretty much about repeat clients, but Hannah and JC are more like family to me than clients. From engagement shoots and bridal portraits, sibling’s prom and wedding day. I’ve shot them all for the Popes. Hannah and JC’s maternity shoot was one of the most viewed blog posts I’ve ever had! And it’s no wonder why, the photos were gorgeous.
Miss Emma was born a few weeks early, and I was super glad I was able to visit at the hospital when she was 1 day old before I had to go out of town to cover a wedding.
When I do newborn portraits, I typically ask to shoot them in the parent’s home. I bring lightening and usually seamless paper and use props that I or the clients provide. It’s important to me that new parents and new babies to be comfortable, and relaxed so if something needs to happen like a feeding or diaper change or just some soothing, we’re in a good place to do it! Of course, Miss Emma didn’t need any of that she was THE most behaved baby I’ve EVER photographed.
I made Emma a special tiara and tutu for her first photo shoot!
Emma had some pretty special jewelry to be photographed with. She handled that task just as a true princess should, effortlessly.
Hannah is going to be an amazing mother. I can’t wait to catch up with the two of them again soon!
