This past weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to Nokesville, VA to photograph Becky & Aaron’s very intimate wedding. The wedding was held at Windy Knoll Farm inside of a renovated barn. When we first arrived I was so disappointed it was pouring rain as the once outdoor ceremony was moved inside.
Becky & Aaron chose to keep the details simple, but I was super excited to be introduced to the ring bearer!
Becky’s parents were excited to be there for their daughters wedding. They came all the way from India! Becky’s dad not only got to give his daughter away, but he also officiated the ceremony. This is actually the second wedding I’ve photographed that her father preformed. He also officiated his younger daughter, Merriel’s wedding last May.
Check out the rings Aaron picked out!
The rain finally stopped just in time for the ceremony, since everything was already set up indoors. That’s where the special ceremony stayed.
The lighting outside after the ceremony was great for family portraits and as the evening went on just got better and better.
We were grateful for some awesome, antique props 😉
I recently purchased a PINK instant film camera and was excited to give the couple one of it’s first images!
We moved back indoors for dinner and the cake cutting.
The cake was made by Becky’s younger sister, Merriel! She did an amazing job. Check out her cakes and cookies on Facebook. Merriel was sweet enough to make the cake a special surprise for Aaron!
It was camouflage inside with Hunter Orange buttercream!
The night ended shortly after the cake cutting, but before I rode back to Richmond i was able to get a great shot of the couple just before sunset.
Until next time,
❤ Malice
