One of the biggest reasons I love being a photographer is because you get to capture not only some of the happiest times of people’s lives, with newborn photography or wedding photography but you bond with the people you photograph. And through that bond, you’re called back again and again to photograph new milestones in their lives. That’s what this shoot was. Adalyn turned 2!

I started photographing her at 6 months old and again at 1 year.

This year we shot her 2nd birthday portraits. If you’re in the Richmond, VA area you’ll know that our weather has been insanely gloomy lately, so I was thrilled with the beautiful evening we ended up with. These photos were shot at Pole Green Park in lovely Mechanicsville, VA.

It took Miss Addy a few minutes to warm up to to the camera. But once she did we got some great images!
